Opera Backstage Event this Friday in Russia

November 1, 2006

We will be having our second Opera Backstage event this Friday, November 3rd, at the Ivanovo State Chemical University Conference Hall (ISCUT) – Ivanovo, Russia.

The event will consist of two sessions. The first, starting at 2PM, will be a talk to about 500 university students, and will last for about 2 hours.

The second session will take place between the hours of 7 and 10PM. This session would be more of a panel talk, where about 100 IT professionals are expected to attend.

Speaking at the event is Johan Borg — the guy in charge of the Opera desktop browser, Oleg Tukh – Product Manager for Opera Mini, and Charles McCathieNevile – the Chief Standards Officer at Opera.

Since the event will take place on the university campus, we have only a limited number of seats in the house. If you’d like to come, please email your RSVP to benj at opera dot com.

This is our second Opera Backstage event. A few weeks ago we had an Opera Backstage event in London, where many Opera users, bloggers, press, and developers attended. You can read a bit about it on the Opera Events blog (photos here), as well as in tomorrow’s Opera Bits newsletter.

We will be serving food and drinks too. Come out and join us.
