Opera buys ad space in Times Square for New Year's Eve

December 12, 2005

Opera will pay tribute to one lucky Opera user with his or her photo and the big Opera logo on the gigantic ABC SuperSign in New York’s Times Square on New Year’s Eve.

Nearly one million partygoers will witness the super sized fan tribute on the 585 square foot (that’s 54 square meters!) screen. This advertising space is one the most high-profile New Year’s party in the world, Times Square. I’ve been told that Opera has rented the ad space for a week.

To be the lucky Opera user, all you have to do is send Opera your photograph, along with the reason why you think you deserve to be featured on the big screen. To top it off, Opera will fly (or bicycle) the lucky Opera user with a guest to New York City for the New Year’s celebrations, where you will be staying at one of New York’s premiere hotels and receive two tickets to ABC’s New Year’s Eve party.

The deadline for signing up is December 22nd, 9am CET.
