Why is it I can already hear the firefox-fanboys sneering that they got to 4 million in 2 weeks. lol. As if it was a popularity contest.

I think that it is nice to hear that so many people have discovered of Opera. Regardless of which browser they decide use, I am just happy that the web has alternatives.

    Way to go Opera.

I tried you for 2 weeks but have gone back to Firefox.

You are good but in my opinion not the best.

I think the most important thing is that there are great alternatives out there.

We are not STUCK with IE!!!!! 🙂

“As if it was a popularity contest.”

No, but popularity sure is fun, whichever side you’re on. (And in my opinion, Opera and Firefox users are on the same side.)

Heh, well this means ~800,000 downloads per week. I think it’s still respectable. Obviously, Firefox being free and ad-free makes it more accessible for the average web user.

    What with the hostility?

Both browsers are better and doing a good job at making IE more of a joke than it already is. If want to blame anything blame Advertisers, AOL and greed.

    “What with the hostility?”

    Sorry, which hostility?

Excuse me, but what is your source for these numbers?

Opera’s pages say NOTHING about four million downloads.

    I call bullshit.

The problem with vesion 8.0 is the lack of Blogger support (on boith ends). So I don’t use 8 as often as 7.54.

    Great job guys,

I hope Opera is a successful as it deserves to be. You guys have a good product and I’m glad that other people are using it.
